Benchmark Cabinets & Millwork has an immediate opening for a Cabinet Maker working in our union shop located in Peoria, IL. This is a full-time position and requires working as part of team. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm with overtime opportunities on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture custom wood and laminate casework and millwork
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- At least one year of cabinet making experience
- Safe operation of woodworking tools and equipment
- Ability to measure, cut, assemble, glue, seam and join both laminate and wood
- Read project blueprints, specifications and shop drawings
Preferred Experience and Qualifications (not required, but desirable)
- Solid surface countertop experience
- Wood staining and finishing experience

Benchmark Cabinets & Millwork has an immediate opening for a Cabinet Detailer working in our modern Peoria, IL shop. This is a full-time position and requires working as part of team.
Responsibilities
- Design and detail cabinets and millwork using Microvellum software
- Develop detailed shop drawings to be used by our shop for cabinet production
- Work with Owners, contractors and architects to solve problems and develop efficient, durable and attractive cabinetry designs
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- High school graduate (required)
- AutoCAD, Microvellum or relevant drafting experience (required)
- Ability to read project blueprints, specifications and shop drawings (required)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications (not required, but desirable)
- Actual cabinet building experience
- One year of AutoCAD and/or Microvellum experience
- CNC machine programming experience
